Floor: The trailer floor is equipped with six tie-down rings for securing cargo. These are attached to the side metal profiles, increasing rigidity and avoiding stress on the laminated floor material. The rings are spring-loaded to remain tight against the floor when not in use, eliminating unpleasant noises.
-
Plywood: The floor is made of a single piece of multi-layer laminated plywood, 15 mm thick, with an anti-slip coating. It is resistant to wear and moisture.
-
Chassis: The welded and hot-dip galvanized steel chassis features two robust longitudinal profiles and cross-profiled elements, enhancing durability under dynamic road loads and adverse weather conditions.
-
Drawbar: The V-shaped galvanized drawbar withstands high dynamic loads. Made of profiled galvanized sheet metal, it increases reliability and protects the electrical wiring from external damage.
-
Cargo Box: The cargo box is made of posts and side panels. Corner posts are positioned to maximize the platform area. They are removable and made from durable steel profiles, capable of supporting high extensions like arches. The side panels are constructed from box-profile aluminum alloy, 400 mm high, providing reduced weight and required strength. All panels are openable, and robust locks integrated into the profiles enhance aesthetics and provide secure closure. Hinges are designed for easy removal of the panels.
-
Suspension: Torsion suspension ensures stable, smooth rides with varying trailer loads. The trailer is fitted with two KNOTT torsion axles, each designed for a load of 1350 kg.
-
Braking System: Equipped with a KNOTT mechanical inertia braking system, ensuring safety even at high speeds and heavy loads. The robust brake drums allow easy servicing, and the bearings are maintenance-free throughout their lifespan. The system enables reverse towing on inclines with a fully loaded trailer.
-
Support Wheel: A height-adjustable support wheel allows easy coupling with towing vehicles, even when the trailer is fully loaded. It facilitates positioning and leveling of the drawbar to the required hitch height, while the KNOTT clamp ensures quick and secure connection to the towing vehicle.
-
Wheels Placement: Wheels are positioned beneath the trailer, allowing full utilization of the trailer’s width. With no side extensions, the entire platform width can be used for cargo, offering flexibility for transporting various goods such as construction materials, palletized goods, machinery, or vehicles.
-
Ease of Loading: Side panel access facilitates easier loading and unloading, particularly useful when forklifts are used.
-
Compact Width: With the wheels located underneath, the trailer’s width equals its overall width, making it easier to navigate narrow roads or urban areas and enhancing maneuverability, especially in tight spaces.
-
Low Wheels: The smaller 10” wheels with low-profile tires reduce the platform’s loading height, simplifying the loading of vehicles or machinery using optional ramps.
-
Reduced Drag: The wheels' placement reduces the frontal area facing the direction of motion, improving stability on highways and potentially reducing fuel consumption during long-distance commercial use.
-
Electrical System: The wiring is made from molded automotive cables with sealed connectors and bayonet fittings. A 13-pin plug is installed, and LED light signaling is integrated. The entire electrical system is by Aspöck.
