The trailer chassis is made of two pairs of double steel sheet profiles, connected by welded joints. The reinforced structure absorbs impact loads during driving and increases operational reliability. It is protected against corrosion using the hot-dip galvanizing process, which significantly extends its service life even under adverse weather conditions.
-
The superstructure for vehicle transport is 8.5 meters long and consists of two running surfaces made of perforated steel sheet. These are integral parts of the chassis and provide additional structural reinforcement. The perforations on the tracks strengthen the loading platform, reduce the possibility of vehicle slipping, and are dimensioned to fit standard wheel straps. The completely flat platform increases the trailer's versatility.
-
Two torsion axles ensure a more even distribution of load between the axles and the towing coupling when driving over dips and uneven road surfaces. Two torsion axles of the KNOTT brand are installed, each rated for 1350 kg. Reinforced bearings require no lubrication or adjustment.
-
The V-shaped drawbar can withstand strong dynamic loads. It is made of profiled steel sheet, which enhances its reliability. The drawbar is equipped with a support wheel to facilitate trailer movement without a towing vehicle.
-
The entire trailer is protected with hot-dip galvanization, which is much more effective than other types of corrosion protection. It provides reliable shielding of both external surfaces and internal cavities of the structure, significantly extending the trailer’s lifespan.
-
Two loading ramps allow vehicles to drive onto the trailer independently, regardless of track width. Both ramps are stored within the chassis.
-
The trailer is equipped with a mechanical overrun brake system by KNOTT, ensuring safety even at high speeds and with heavy loads. It features three autonomous braking systems: service, parking, and emergency. Service brake system – for braking while driving with a towing vehicle. Parking brake system – to secure the trailer while stationary. Emergency brake system – for braking in case of coupling (hitch) failure between the trailer and the towing vehicle.
The brake drums are robustly designed and easy to service. Their bearings require no additional lubrication or adjustment throughout their service life. Manufacturer: KNOTT. Reversing is enabled even on a slope with a fully loaded trailer.
-
The lighting system includes standard front and rear lights, as well as side marker lamps that adequately signal the long trailer. The lights are made with LED technology, providing a high level of brightness visible even in adverse weather conditions such as fog, rain, or at night. They have a longer lifespan and require less maintenance.
The electrical installation is made of molded automotive cable and is protected against external damage. A 13-pin plug is installed, and the entire electrical system is manufactured by Aspöck.
-
Easy connection to the towing vehicle, even with a fully loaded trailer, is made possible by a height-adjustable support wheel. This allows easy positioning and leveling of the drawbar to the required hitch height, and the KNOTT coupling enables quick and secure attachment to the towing vehicle.
-
The wheels are smaller, 13" in diameter, with low-profile tires. This reduces the loading height and makes it easier to load vehicles via the optional ramps. The wheels are positioned under the loading platform, allowing full utilization of the trailer’s width.
-
Vehicle loading is simple thanks to the two ramps that slide out from the rear bumper and attach to it. They allow the vehicle to drive onto the platform independently, accommodating a wide range of track widths. A powerful winch, made by Knott, enables loading of broken-down or damaged vehicles.
- Towing this trailer is easier because the wheels do not protrude from the sides—the width of the loading platform is also the width of the trailer. This facilitates passage through narrow roads or city areas, improving maneuverability, especially in urban environments.
